Hand Painted Limited Edition of 350 Hand Painted Walt Disney's Beauty & the Beast "Destiny's Dance" signed by the Original Voices of "Belle" - Paige O'Hara and the "Beast" - Robbie BensonExcellent Condition, Beautifully Framed and Ready to Hang Number 261 out of the 350 Edition The sealed Certificate of Authenticity reads: This is a limited edition hand-painted cel depicting characters from Disney's picture, anitmated feaure Beauty & the Beast. This edition "Destiny's Dance" captures the classic romantic ballroom waltz of Belle and the Beast using three discrete moments from the waltz sequence, set before a rich, dimenstional ballroom background. The Walt Disney Studios has created these character images using traditional animation techniques. The original animation drawings were transferred to an acetate cel by a special six step xerographic process using two ink colors. Artists of the Walt Dinsey Ink & Paint Department then enhanced each cel with seven hand-inked lines and hand-painted each of the cels in the edition with thirty Disney approved acrylic colors and one air brush effect. Disney artists have specially created the background scene accompanying this cel. It is not an original production background. However, original layouts, sketches, and frames from the film were used as reference material for the piece. Color Service has lithographically printed the background artwork on premium quality acid-free paper. As an additional enhancement, Robbie Benson and Paige O'Hara, the original voices of Beast and Belle have personally signed each piece in the addition to commemorate theirn roles in the film. Mr. Benson and Ms. O'Hara are not the artists of this piece. Walt Disney Art Classics published this limited edition in the year 2000. It is comprised of a general edition of 350 numbered 1/350 to 350/350, 8 publishers proofs numbered 1/8PP to 8/8PP, and 15 hors de commerce numbered HC 1/15 to HC15/15. The publisher approved of the techniques used in this edition and proofs tof. Conforming to the practice of fine art printing the film used to create the background is destroyed when the edition is closed. The original animation drawings are archived in the Walt Disney Reseach Library. The recreated background is archived with the publisher. No additional fine art multiples of this image including proofs have been produced in this or any other limited edition except only as necessary to replace pieces in this edition that are damaged in production or shipment to maintain the stated edition size. Disney may offer portions of the original elements used in the creation of the cel for sale at a later date.
