This rare find is made by Madame Alexander doll company for Walt Disney Studios in its early days soon after its release of Snow White. It is a marionette of the character "Happy" one of Snow White' s 7 Dwarfs. I am not sure w she--Snow White-- is or w the other 6 dwarfs are. Maybe that is why he is still happy. For his age his is in very good condition. He is a composition doll, so he would be very easily broken. He is missing a finger on each hand and the paint on his face has crazed in one or two places and an ear-lobe is missing as well. Otherwise, he doesn't have any major defects, save for some paint scuffs from usage. He has his original clothing and strings and the wooden string controllers. His body is 9 1/4 inches long and the strings and marionette extend only 21 1/2 inches. His arms and hand reach 5 inches. He still has the Madame Alexander Tag with his name.
