I have dear friends who have retired and we've acquired many of their items-he worked with Mr. Disney when Disneyland was being built and opened and she did the florals for most of Main Street! I am going to have alot of wonderful Disney collectibles to offer, some that were never offered to the public. This is probably one of the most exquisite pieces I have from my friends' Disney collection. This is from The Disney Collection, Disney's Magic Memories. The bottom of the base has this information on it, along with "Cinderella", Designed by Walt Disney Artists, Limited Edition, 1,199/19,750. A VERY low number edition for those that are interested in that sort of thing. On the bottom of the base is also the turnkey for the music box as well as the round "knob" to turn the music on and off. Cinderella and her Prince 'dance' when the music is on - the tune that is playing is, of course, "Some Day My Prince Will Come". As stated above, these were printed in limited editions-only 19,750 were made. This is made of heavy porcelain, distinctly marked with the silhouette of Mickey Mouse with his paintbrush on the underside of the base. This is a pre-1968 figurine as all Disney figurines made after 1968 had the date imprinted on the base. All the Walt Disney figurines, including this Cinderella music box, made prior to 1968 are highly sought after as they were made of a higher quality bisque porcelain. This really is just so delicate, so beautifully painted that you will be thrilled to own it. This measures ~7.5" tall x 5" wide. On the white base we have blue paint that has been shadowed in all the crevices, just to give a little color. You can see the word "Cinderella" printed out on the front. Their dance floor is a light seafoam green and the white platform is built up a bit with a tall white urn in the back of the dance floor. Cinderella is in her beautiful two-tone blue dress, with the tiny yellow stars, her black choker and her blonde hair swept up. She is wearing faint purple elbow length gloves. You can see just how delicate and what incredible workmanship was done when you see their fingers reaching to touch each other. The Prince is very royal looking-he is wearing red slacks with yellow stripes down the sides (you can see where the designers even put a 'dent' in the back of his legs where his knees are bending to dance, small details like this just show why Disney is so wonderful). He has his white royal coat on, with a yellow braid hanging from the neckline and down a bit on one shoulder. He has shoulder caps on his coat, which match the tall collar around his neck. He is smiling down at Cinderella. This is a wonderful music box!!!! CONDITION: Just like new. The couple that owned this had a Disney room in their home and everything was protected under glass or in curios. There is no paint missing or any chips on this figurine. This comes in its original heavily cushioned box. SHIPPING: IMPORTANT - I make no money off shipping. Once the correct size box is found, I take the measurements and the weight of the box and insert that information into the eBay shipping calculator. From that point on it is out of my hands . **You might want to consider UPS or Priority Mail for this item - it will get to you quicker and is usually only a few dollars more than parcel post.
