Winning bidder will receive (1) Disney WDW 2003 Surprise Fireworks and Fanfare series #3 of 4 that were released Mickey + Minnie Hot Air Balloon pin. Released 8/6/03. Limited to 1000 made, but as you will read below only 500 made it to the public. Pin measures 1.5" tall and is mint on the original WDW pin card. This is just one of many old stock WDW Surprise pins I'm listing to end tonight. I collected these as they were released with the intention of putting a big set together. Since so much time has passed since I bought them I've decided to just list them separately. The following further details on this pin can be found on Pin Pics site #24226:
This pin was released exclusively at the Coronado Springs Resort on August 6th as a LE 1000. They lost 500 of these beautiful pins which now makes this an LE 500 pins. The cute pin is #3 in the Series of 4 "Fanfare and Fireworks Series". Shows Minnie and Mickey in a red, white, and blue hot air balloon with the letters USA across the middle of the balloon. According to one source: The information given by a merchandising coordinator on the missing 500 pins is that a 500-pin box was destroyed in the warehouse when a forklift drove over the box. Several merchandising managers have stated that these pins will not be replaced. The back of the pin states that it is a "Limited Edition of 1000", but only 500 were available. This gold-finished pin measures 1 5/8" tall by 1" wide. Comes to you wrapped and shipped in a bubble lined mailer for a safe arrival to your door. Winner may pay by check (in US only), money order or pay pal and will add the cost of $3.00 for first class shipping within the United States. Insurance is optional at the cost of $1.65 for up to $50.00 in value. Items purchased without insurance are not eligible for replacement costs if lost or damaged during shipping. Overseas shipping is via first class non insured for $4.00. Priority and Express mail are available but the rates are very high, so I leave that option up to the bidder.
