HONG KONG DISNEYLAND MTR TRAIN MODEL! The Hong Kong government, in cooperation with Walt Disney Imagineering, developed the cutest train you've ever seen! This auction is for a model of the train, souvenir tickets from the pre-opening rides on the train and MORE! First the model: it measures approx seven inches long, and it is a replica of one of the cars from the MTR Disneyland Resort Line. The port-hole windows of the train are made in the shape of Mickey Mouse icons. So much fun! (See the last photo for a shot of the actual train pulling into the beautiful HKDL train station. Photo courtesy of my husband.) Also included are four souvenir tickets of the train ride which were sold prior to the opening of HKDL. In the last several weeks leading up to the opening of the theme park, people would ride the train to the station and enjoy the new experience and take pictures inside ... then walk around the train station and fountain and lake near the entrance to the park. The souvenir tickets come with a special card with artwork of the train on the outside, and information about HKDL on the inside. The last item in this auction is truly unique.
