With an obvious talent for drawing at the age of six, Mr. Arzenton was destined to be a great artist. As the story goes, Mr. Arzenton was six years old when he was asked by his teacher to draw a picture on the blackboard. While all his classmates drew simple sketches on paper, he used colored chalk and drew a rural scene with such depth and realism, that the view changed with each perspective. Given the nickname of "Raffaello", he started with a box of oil colors and some old canvases and moved to sculpting after inspiration from a book about Michaelangelo. He began with clay from the plowed fields in front of his house and moved to training at the Art Institute of Vicenza. His big break came when he was commissioned for his first job, a reproduction of Paladio's Basilica (1:200). The piece was done in silver and won him widespread acclaim. Joining forces with Robert Hecht of Forest Lamps and Collectibles in 1979, Mr. Arzenton created the Disney and Laurenz Classics lines of Capodimonte sculptures which were introduced in 1983. From his early dreams of sculpting for a living to his realization of these dreams, we are all fortunate that he had chosen to recreate these Disney masterpieces with his incredible talent. Enzo retired in the Summer of 1999, after creating 48 different large scale Disney sculptures after falling suddently ill and actually had to stop production of soe of the pieces especially the one in the picture Check Out Our Other Ebay Auctions & Save on Shipping: We list new and exciting items every Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday for 7 days We definetly combine shipping on multiple purchases so be sure to check out my other e...
