The ONE photomosaic picture that you are bidding on is: PICTURE: FRANCE PAVILION - WORLD SHOWCASE - EPCOT PHOTOMOSAIC PINS BASED ON WALT DISNEY'S MOVIE: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (MONTH OF PINS FOR FEBRUARY, 2000) Love Disney? Love Pins? Love Epcot? Love the World Showcase? Love Disney Movies? Love Limited Editions? Love Wall Art? Love Cloisonne? Love Photomosaics? Then this is a must for your collection. Your bid is for a photomosaic picture made from pins and framed by Disney in a black frame, matting and of course, covered with glass. Pins and completed picture designed by Robert Silvers. T WERE ONLY 2000 SETS OF THESE MADE UP!!. And Disney never released any of these completed pics separately. You had to buy the entire set! You know.. photomosaics... that's when a big picture is really made up of thousands of teeny, tiny little pictures when you get up close and really check it out. Totally NEAT! Each picture comes with a card that states which month it is for, and then on the back of the card, gives an outline of how the pins were positioned (noting the date that each pin was available for purchase) to make the framed picture. Each picture is still in original box, which is inside yet still another box. Approximately 18 x 22 inches. They have never been hung up. 's the scoop on this limited edition. It's lengthy, but contains MUCH INFORMATION.... but when you're investing in Disney Limited Editions, you should be informed! The year 2000 brought a huge new rage at Disney. Collectable PINS!! To help "Celebrate the Future Hand in Hand" - throughout the Millennium Celebration, t was a very special Pin of the Day available for purchase exclusively at Epcot. Each pin depicts many images of Disney film characters. When the pins are put together for an entire month, they form a pictorial mosaic of an Epcot image. This "photomosaic" effect is the creation of artist Robert Silvers, author of several books on the subject, including one devoted to Disney images. The intention was to create a trading group within the regular trading groups. If you collected all of the pins for a particular month in this 15 month period, they formed a picture. Since the Millennium Celebration actually began in October of 1999 - t are 15 "pin pictures" that were possible to make. That was a total of 459 pins (459 days). Guests who wanted to sure of collecting every "Pin of the Day" pin could join the Millennium Pin Club. Membership was only available to 2000 guests who signed up. First come - first served. Cost was $3,000 for the set. Then you received fifteen framed Photomosaics® (one a month) made from 459 individual pins (approximately 30 pins in each pic - one for each day of that month) with scenes from Disney movies. When the pins are aligned they create a Photomosaic depicting a scene from Epcot® at Walt Disney World®. T are approximately 30 pins in each photomosaic "picture. (One pin for each day of each month's picture) However, after a few months of having these pins available in specific places in the parks, they were discontinued from the day to day availability. So, the ONLY way that you could get the entire month's worth of pins to form that month's picture... was to have purchased one of the limited number of completed pictures sets in the beginning!!!!! ONLY 2000 of each of these completed photomosaic pin pictures were produced and sold. These Disney limited-edition millennium pins were created using the cloisonné process, which are colored with powdered glass and fired at 800 degrees, as well as semi-cloisonné, using epoxy resin for a wider color range, and enamel, in which all the colors were applied simultaneously. "Pin of the Day" pins used the photo process, offering reproduction with vivid details. The fifteen Photomosaics® a...
