"Welcome to 'Fantasmic!' Tonight, our friend and host, Mickey Mouse uses his vivid imaginatation to create magical imagery for all to enjoy. Nothing is more wonderful than the imagination. For in a moment, you can experience a beautiful fantasy, or an exciting adventure. But beware! Nothing is more powerful than the imagination, for it can also expand your greatest fears into an overwhelming nightmare! Are the powers of Mickey's incredible imagination strong enough, and bright enough to withstand the evil forces that invade Mickey's dream? You are about to find out. For we now invite you to join Mickey and experience 'Fantasmic!' - a journey beyond your wildest imagination. And with that, the show begins. W else but at a Disney theme park can you experience the fantasy of Mickey Mouse's imagination. And what an opportunity for those of us fortunate enough to be given the "task" (read that "pleasure") of creating such a show. This is the sister show to the original "Fantasmic!" produced by Disneyland. Not a mere clone, but a completely new visual and aural experience. New musical segments represent songs from the more recent Disney animated feature films. These new musical pieces accompany new stunning visuals of "Fantasmic!" in a setting created especially for the new show. A very important part of the new setting is a one of a kind sound system which envelops the audience in a surround sound experience. The sound system combines the best features of the grat "movie theater" surround systems with th ebest features of a great concert sound system. The sound track to the show has been produced specifically to take advantage of the unique properties of this venue. For the musical purist, tracks 1 through 18 on this CD represent the music and singing voices of the show in traditional stereo. Tracks 19 through 35 are the music, voices, and sound effects of the show represented in Dolby Surround Sound. And, (if your playback system is properly set up and calibrated) will be similar to the hybrid 6 channel surround system enjoyed by the audience at Disney-MGM Studios. The last track (36) on the CD is a Surround Sound set up program included as a bonus track. All of the music tracks on this CD can be enjoyed on a conventional stereo sound system.
