Pin 13279: 2001 ASTA Convention -- Minnie Spain Stamp Pin Class: Disney Pins Origin: Convention/WDCC Type: Event Only Limited Edition: 1000 Pins SKU Number: Unknown Original Price: Released: November 2001 Retired: Categories: Other Members Trading :6 Members Wanting :9 Coolness :56.7 This pin was created for the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) 2001 Convention which was to be held in Seville Spain, but was canceled due to the events of September 11. The convention was later rescheduled and held in November 2001 in New York City. The pin is made to look like a postage stamp. It shows Minnie dressed as a Spanish dancer wearing a bright red dress with white polka dots and yellow and white ruffles, matching yellow pearl necklace and hat, and a rose in her hair. Minnie is dancing with castanets in her hand. "ASTA 2001 Spain" is written in the upper left corner. The bottom reads, "Walt Disney Parks & Resorts." The pin came on a very colorful card resembling a postcard, with the same picture (but in full) of Minnie dancing on a cobblestone street. The events surrounding last year's convention makes this a special pin. Pin is on original postcard-picture 3. Picture is actual pin. There is a small tear as pictured in the postcard as shown in the pictures. Pins are shipped in a bubble wrapped envelope with delivery confirmation. Smoke free. Combined shipping available for $1.00 per additional pin paid for in one invoice within 7 days after auction ends. Insurance is included in shipping on pins over $15.00. All sellers on EBAY are NOT charged the same selling and listing fees. Sellers that make this a full time job with higher sales receive larger discounts than the sellers that do this for fun/part time. So the shipping fees charged can vary a lot from each seller due to these discounts. Shipping time is within one day of mail service.
