You are bidding on a beautifully framed cel, number 72 out of 330 cels hand-painted for Feature Animation Castmembers (Burbank Studio). This is a limited editition of 330 hand-painted character cel set-ups from Walt Disney's full-length feature film Tarzan (1999). It is one of a series of 13 selected, limited-edition, hand-painted recreations of original artwork for Feature Animation employees only. Disney artists have recreated the artwork from Tarzan using traditional animation techniques. The original animation drawings were transferred to acetate cels by a special six-step xerographic process. The cels were enhanced by hand-inked lines, then artists of the Walt Disney Studios Ink and Paint Department hand painted each of the cels in the edition with Disney-approved acrylic colors. The background for this cel has been faithfully reproduced from the original production background. This recreated cel set-up is from Sequence 13.5, Scene 25 of Tarzan: Tarzan has an epiphany as he reached out to touch a hand just like his, Jane's. Good luck bidding and thanks for looking!
