The great artist/writer of the Mickey Mouse comic strip created a series of twenty-four watercolor paintings based on the stories that appeared in the newspaper daily strips of the 1930s and early-1940s. All twenty-four were on display at Howard Lowery Gallery in Burbank, Califorina in late 1992-early 1993, and this catalogue was published to commemorate that exhibition. All of the paintings are handsomely reproduced in full color; also included are two essays, The Psychology of the Floyd Gottfredson Mickey Mouse Paintings by Richard D. Olson and Gottfredson and Me by Malcolm Willits, plus Mickey's Chronicler, an interview with Floyd Gottfredson by Malcolm Willits. Illustrated with color and black-and-white photographs. 56 pages, 11" x 8 1/2". Like new, in excellent condition, NEAR MINT.
