They have the Hidden Mickey logo on the front and are backstamped "Hidden Mickey Pin" and numbered "1 of 5", "2 of 5", "3 of 5", "4 of 5", "5 of 5". For your reference, please see our explanation below which outlines the "history" of WDW cast lanyard and Hidden Mickey pin collections. All of my cast lanyard and Hidden Mickey pins were personally traded with a cast member in Walt Disney World during the time period in which the lanyard series was released and are in new condition. Cast Lanyard - Hidden Mickey Background Information:Walt Disney World began the cast lanyard collection in 2001-2002 with the Lanyard Series 1 Collection. At this time, lanyard pins were only able to be acquired through trading with a WDW cast member. The early series pins were not for sale. At this time, there were no Hidden Mickey logos on the front of the pins. The backstamp of Lanyard Series 1 and 2 had the words, "Disney's Lanyard Pin Series". Beginning with Lanyard Series 3, the backstamp had the words, "Cast Lanyard Series". The original release of Lanyard Series 1, Series 2, and portions of Series 3, did not have Hidden Mickey logos on the front. Portions of Lanyard Series 2 and 3 were later re-released, with the addition of the Hidden Mickey logo on the front. The backstamp of these re-releases had the words, "Hidden Mickey Pin" and began have numbering on the backstamp grouping a series of similar pins together, such as "1 of 4", "2 of 4", "3 of 4". Some of the re-releases with the Hidden Mickey logo on the front still were backstamped “Cast Lanyard Series” with no numbering. The cast lanyard pins began to be referred to as "Hidden Mickey" pins. Consequently, there are cast lanyard pins depicting the same image which can be found with no Hidden Mickey logo or with a Hidden Mickey logo. Both are authentic WDW releases. Depending on the collector, some people want the lanyard pins without the Hidden Mickey because they were part of the original release. Others collect only pins depicting the Hidden Mickey logo on the front. Starting in 2005, Cast Lanyard Collections 4 was released with the Hidden Mickey logo appearing on the front of all the pins. All lanyards since then appear with the Hidden Mickey logos and have the numbering on the backstamp and have the words, "Hidden Mickey Pin." The 2008 Lanyard Collection began to be available for sale in packages of two mystery pins at WDW. This series introduced "Completer" pins for the series.
