Disneyland 50th Anniversary Plates - Complete Set of 6 Disneyland Anniversary Plates - MIB * Complete Set of 6 Plates Year of issue: 2005 Condition: Mint Box included: Yes / Mint Size: 8 1/2" Dia/Each Artist: Kimberly Irvine In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland, Kimberly Irvine, director of Concept/Show Design for Walt Disney Imagineering-Anaheim, designed this series of collector dessert plates -- each representing a different era at "The Happiest Place on Earth." Each plate comes in its original foil-imprinted box with certificate of authenticity. Plate #1 - Mickey Mouse : The years 1955 to 1960 are represented by the "Mouseketeer" mouse ears made famous on the Mickey Mouse Club. Plate #2 - Tomorrowland : From 1961 to 1971, the land on the move, Tomorrowland, was just a rocket ride to imagination and beyond. Plate #3 - The Blue Fairy : With the Blue Fairy presiding over its procession, the Main Street Electrical parade made its illuminating mark on Walt Disney’s original "Magic Kingdom" from 1972 to 1994. Plate #4 - The Eye of Mara : In 1995, Disneyland celebrated "40 Years of Adventures" with the opening of the Indiana Jones Adventure, w the Temple of the Forbidden Eye remains an iconic Adventureland mystery. Plate #5 - Tinker Bell : For 2005, Tinker Bell brings her signature crown to shimmering life . .
