Disneyland Park Parade Banners Flag Logo Castle Sign I have two very unique Disneyland theme park items. During certain times in the park, the castmembers will rope off areas to organize groups of people who like to sit and wait for parades or the Fantasmic show. Sometimes these areas are marked off with simple white ropes, while other times, you can see flags or banners of this type hanging on the rope to help you see it better.
These two flags were acquired from the park back in 2002 and shortly after were never seen being used in the park (at least these designs). Today they use cheap looking yellow flags. The production date on the blue one says 1990, so it's safe to say that these were being used in the park since then and for at least 12 years. As you can clearly see, the blue flag is sporting the famous 'D' from the Disneyland logo and the white one is sporting the original castle design. On the back of these flags, the top has a velcro flap that would fold over the rope allowing the flag to be re-positioned or completely removed. SIZE & MATERIAL: I'm not sure of the exact material, but it's kind of like a rubber-canvas type. Each of these flags measure almost 12.5" X 10.5" with the flap folded over. CONDITION: These items show heavy signs of wear and tear including permanent stains, discoloration, minor scratches and very minor tears on the top where the rope would run through the velcro flap. These minor tears are only on the blue one. Overall, for as long as these were used in park, they have a surprisingly small amount of wear and there are NO rips or holes on either one. The white one has more noticable stains due to its lighter color and the castle design suffers from a few areas of missing color. Also, the velcro on the white one is starting to come off a bit, but it does not detract from the overall beauty of this item. I've included pictures to show both sides of these banners as well as one picture that shows you where you would have found these items in the park.
