On September 22, 2001 The Disney Stores began to celebrate Walt Disney's 100th birthday in style! Each store was given a limited quantity of the collectable pins to sell ONLY at the Disney Stores. The collection consisted of 100 Pins (the 100th pin was individualized per state) in an assortment of memorable characters and movies. I purchased these pins in Florida so your set will include pin #100 Mickey Mouse holding a star with Florida on it! The pins celebrate 100 years of Magical Disney moments up to and including the year 2001 when the pins were released. For 13 weeks the Disney Store's released 7 to 8 pins every Saturday! As the doors opened to lines of people the pins quickly sold out to eager pin collectors everyw!!! I know because I was one of those people. :-) I am selling the COMPLETE FACTORY SEALED set which includes ALL 100 pins that have never been opened or traded. Each pin is on the original collectors card and sealed in cellophane just the way I purchased them. This pin set is the perfect HOLIDAY GIFT for any Disney fan or pin collector!
