You are bidding on a complete set of Disney's 100 Years of Dreams pin set. Each of the 100 pins is pinned to a pre-numbered spot in a three ring notebook made especially for this collection. None of these pins is on its original back, but the back of each pin is stamped with its corresponding number. These pins were released in 2001 and sold individually in Disney Stores.
The Disney Store honored Walt Disney's 100th birthday by introducing a special pin collection that celebrates Walt's life of dreams and imagination. Like a passport through time, the pin collection captures magical Disney moments from 1901 to 2001. The pins feature beloved Disney characters and reflect memorable Disney moments. Collection Highlights: Each semi-cloisonné pin is 1 1/2" in size, is backstamped with an edition number and is sold individually. This exclusive pin series will be the first to feature the repeating Walt Disney signature on the back of each pin, marking the collection's authenticity. A special silver locket pin will feature Walt's baby picture that magically transforms into his adult picture. Premiering October 9 in conjunction with the DVD release of Snow White, a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs pin train will be offered. This unique pin series features Snow White leading the train while the dwarfs follow in their own connecting rail cars. The unforgettable Disney Princesses -- Cinderella, Belle and Ariel -- are each featured on their own pin along with their debut year. The "Winnie the Pooh Discovers the Seasons" and "Pooh's Great School Bus Adventure" pins mark the first memorabilia ever produced for these educational films. Collectors can now obtain an original movie poster of such classic films as Disney's Dumbo, Pinocchio and Fantasia- on a pin, of course! Beautifully drawn and colored, these mini masterpieces are sure to make any Disney fan nostalgic. Holiday pins make the perfect gift. Collectors will be able to choose from "Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too" pins, to name a few. Release Dates: The new collectible pins were available at the Disney Store every Saturday from September 22 to December 15, 2001.Retail Price: $4 United States, $5 Puerto Rico and $6 Canada. The movie poster replicas and the Snow White series were priced at $5, $6 and $7 respectively. The commemorative Walt Disney birthday baby picture locket was $8. Purchase Policy: There were no maximum purchase limits on the first 99 pins of the series. The highly collectible 100th pin was limited to two purchases per guest.
