Limited Edition Disney's Tarzan hand-painted character animation cel. This mint condition cel has been professionally framed and carefully preserved. Cel will also come with a Certificate of Authenticity from The Walt Disney Company. Below is the written description of this particular cel on the Certificate of Authenticity. This is a limited edition of 173 hand-painted character cel set-ups from Walt Disney's full-length feature film Tarzan (1999) . It is one of a series of thirteen selected limited-edition, hand-painted recreations of original artwork created especially for Feature Animation employees only. Disney artists have recreated the artwork from Tarzan using traditional animation techniques. The original animation drawings were transferred to acetate cels by a special six-step xerographic process. The cels were enhanced with hand-inked lines, then artists of the Walt Disney studios Ink and Paint Department hand painted each of the cels in the edition with Disney-approved acrylic colors. The background scene for this cel has been faithfully reproduced from the original production background. This recreated cel set-up is from Sequence 9.0, Scene 26 of Tarzan. Tarzan, swinging round a tree, readies his spear for battle against Sabor. Measurements are as follows: Entire framed piece: 25" x 19 3/4" Cel alone: 15 1/2" x 10 1/4" Item will be professionally shipped within 3 days for receiving cleared payment.
