This is a set of wonderful old brass pots from Turkey & I am guessing at the age, but my mother did say that they were quite old. I have used them in my den just sitting on shelves, because I think they are so great looking, but they can be used for many things, indoor & out, especially to hold plants. They are formed by hand along with hand-wrought handles secured with copper nails. Most older pots are made from copper, which are lovely, but older solid brass ones are harder to find. They are in excellent condition & have a fine old patina, which will only grow richer with age. The measurements are 81/2" diameter & 53/4" height for the larger, and 71/2" diameter & 5" height for the smaller of the two, & together they weigh 4 lbs. They also nestle perfectly within one another, which is nice. I've decided to sell not only antiques, but an eclectic mix of things, so, here they are & thank you for looking!

Many of the items which I will be listing, belonged to my family on my father's side, beginning with my great-great-grandfather, who was from England & a Rear Admiral in the Royal English Navy, stationed in Jamaica. His son started a shipping company, based in both Jamaica & in Galveston, Texas. While on a delivery to Central America, the ship was caught in a violent storm, and sadly, all aboard perished at sea, except for my grandmother & her sister, my great aunt. While accompanied by their guardian, & in subsequent years together, they spent every summer on the Continent, especially France, and in England. While there, they purchased a myriad of fine antiques & objets d'art. Her dining room chairs were donated to the Smithsonian! Some also originate from my mother's side of the family. Her grandfather was a silversmith, & his work, which is very rare, is displayed in the Tennessee State Museum, in Nashville. I will be listing some of these, along with lovely things that I have collected in my own travels. There will be many wonderful items in the weeks to come (Tiffany silver, antique vases, bronzes, silver....!). Hopefully, some will be bought together, in order to carry on the tradition with another family, as I have no children, nor does my sister. So, here ends the Alexander history, only to begin again somewhere new.

I am starting at a low bidding price, with NO RESERVE. I feel that the level of expertise among those who know the inherent value of things I will be listing, will suffice & that their true value will appear in the final bid. They have all been lovingly passed down & cared for by my family, & I can only hope that whoever buys them, will appreciate them, as we have for so many years. So, I wish you & I will combine shipping for those who make multiple purchases. Payment would be appreciated within 3 days, as well as your feedback, for which, I will gratefully reciprocate. Thank you for your interest & your time.
