Vintage True to Scale Replica of the U.S. Navy Mark V Diving Helmet We are very proud to offer this extremely High Quality 10" Half size of the original U.S. Navy Mark V Deep Sea Diving Helmet with finely polished Wood Base for Display Included ( FREE ). This is a stunning Display Helmet made closely to the Specifications of the U.S. Navy Standards. This helmet is the best reproduction diving helmet that was used by the U.S. Navy Deep Sea Divers I have ever seen. I know, because I used the real helmet during U.S. Navy Diving Training in 1979. We have worked closely with the manufacturer to create a reproduction MK V that follows the US Navy standards as closely as possible. The Helmet was used from 1916 to 1980. The MK-V Diving Helmet is no longer utilized by U.S. Navy Divers for diving. After serving many arduous years as the Navy's primary diving helmet during WWII and the Vietnam era it was featured in the movie "Men of Honor" and is now utilized for decoration and as a symbol of "Hard Hat Deep Sea Diving", throughout the world. This is an excellent, top quality U.S Navy Mark V deep-sea diving helmet. It is 10 inch in height (helmet size without base) and made of thick heavy brass and copper. We guarantee you would not find a better quality mark V reproduction helmet in this size and quality anywhere in the world for less money. This helmet features guarded glass view ports with protective brass grills, and "Banana Tube” exhaust valve, Spitcock, air inlet and communication elbows, T-nuts, opening face port, communication cup and more just like the original USN Mark V divers helmet. The identification tag on the front “Breastplate” reads "U.S. Navy Diving Helmet - Mark V - Morse Diving Equipment Co. - Boston. Mass." It sits on a highly polished sturdy wooden base (Included at no extra charge).
