Lot includes two hardbound books by Thomas Dixon, best known for his early work on the KKK If I recall correctly, Dixon always sympathized with the Confederacy and his books demonstrated that. 1. The Foolish Virgin; 1915 from Appleton Books, illustrated by Walter Tittle...believed to be a 1st edition. Good condition with solid binding and cover, no DJ, original owners inscription, minor foxing 2. The Victim-R?omance of the real Jefferson Davis; 1914 from Appleton Books;illust by J Marchand; not quite as nice condition as above, hinging beginning to loosen, previous owners inscription, light foxing These are USE books and we do not pretend they are in mint condition.
