This Limited Edition Surprise pin celebrates the Mark II Disneyland® Resort monorail. The Mark II was introduced in 1961 when the beam from Tomorrowland® was extended to the Disneyland® Hotel. This spinner pin features Monorail Blue. At the time, it was the first monorail in the country to actually cross a public street. The pin was designed by Dawn Ockstadt from Disney Design Group. Round pin with a blue background. Monorail Blue spins around the pin. In the center of the pin are gold pilot's wings which reads "Disneyland Monorail" and the Disneyland is "D" at the top which is pin-on-pin. Under that on a red background reads "Mark II" in white text. Under that on a white background is "1961" in red text.
