T-34 Tank Diecast Model 30th Guards Tank Brigade, "Leningradets #116", Leningrad Front, Winter 1944, (mod 1942) 1:72 Scale Length Width T-34 3.5" 1.75" This new model includes a winter paint scheme that is suitably weatd and worn. It also has several special markings – the Order of the Red Banner, a tactical number (“116”), and a name written in Cyrillic that translates as “Leningradets”. This particular tank fought with the 30th Guards Tank Brigade near Leningrad in the winter of 1944.When WWII broke out, Russian tanks were the best armored and most powerfully gunned of any nation. Typifying advanced Russian tank design was the T-34 with its sloped armor and powerful gun, initially of 76mm caliber. The culmination of the so-called T-34/76 was the 1942 Model, with a mixture of rubber and steel rimmed wheels plus other modifications and improvements.
