DOC SAVAGE Pulp Magazine, August 1940 - Ken Robeson, Tunnel Terror, Street&Smith Product Description Title: Doc Savage Issue Dates & Condition: August 1940, VG Grading Guide: VERY FINE : A beautiful copy with outstanding eye appeal. Sharp, bright and clean with supple pages. Cover is relatively flat with almost no surface wear. Cover inks are generally bright and glossy with moderate to high reflectivity. Staples may show some discoloration. Spine may have a couple of almost insignificant transverse stress lines and is almost completely flat. A barely unnoticeable 1/4" inch crease is acceptable, if color is not broken. Pages and exterior covers can be yellowish/tanish (at the least, but no brown and will usually be off-white to white). Inside covers can be tanning to lite browning but not brittle. FINE-(FN): A sharp copy with minor defects. Very minor tears, a minor 1/8" chip out of the overhang. A flat tight book that may be similar to a VF but doesn’t have that freshness or gloss. VERY GOOD-(VG): A copy with a number of milder defects. Mild creases with very small chips from the edges. At this grade the edges are starting to have numerous small tears and creases. Minor wrinkling and small pieces of the spine may be missing. Mild fading and could have some tape on the spine. GOOD: A worn copy, typical of an older magazine. read more
