UK Police Box Blueprints" "Doctor Who UK Police Box Blueprints" The Holidays will be soon & this makes a GREAT present for Doctor Who fans. This could be one of the most unique items for a true Dr. Who fans collection. In the 70's my husband (a young boy in England) wrote to the Metropolitan police and asked for drawings of the police box that Doctor Who had his adventures in so he could build one in the back yard. Well some kind constable (or building inspector according to the letter) actually took the time to track down the blueprints of the police box model that was used as the TARDIS and made him a blueprint copy. What you are bidding on is a copy of that. Our blueprint is old and frail (yellow with age). We have made a copy for ourselves and framed it. It is about 2 feet by 2 feet. The dimensions are written on the print. In theory should be able to build your own Police Box that would look just like the TARDIS since it was modeled after this one. (Though we never tried he has always wanted to build one) It does give measurements and descriptions. The words are in script (as you can see by the picture) instead of block printing or typing, which was normal for the turn of the century (1900's). It is even signed by the designer.
