This auction is for a large group of 1880s to 1890s handwritten documents and papers from a Dr. James E Garside from Caldwell County, MO. He was a doctor and surgeon in several towns in the area. He did obstetrics and just about everything, by looking at his records. He treated everyone from the reverend to the "colored teacher" to residents of the Caldwell County Poor farm and Jail. This is a great lot if you are interested in the life of a doctor in the 1880s to 1890s, interested in Missouri history or genealogy, family history (you could learn a lot about your family from these doctor visit records), . Some of the towns he mentions or worked in are: Hamilton,MO, Chicago, Bonanza, MO, Cowgill, MO, Kingston, MO, and many other towns...in Caldwell County.
