Up for a "Buy it Now is a fantastical Cabbage Leaf Lettuce Ware " Peas on a Plate~Platter" .NOTE TO LOVERS OF DODIE THAYER , I have many pieces of Thayer , some are very rare, if your looking for something special please email me , I might just have it ! Some call this Lettuce Ware but , it is actually Cabbage Leaf . This wonderful Plate or "Peas on a Plate" was hand made by Dodie Thayer of Palm Beach also of Jupiter,FL. . Dodie was on the best of well dressed Tables in Palm Beach and threw out the Country , collected by the wealthy and famous (J.Kennedy etc.) . Each piece is whimsical and made by using Cabbage Leafs that are impressed into the clay for an exact copy of the Cabbage Leaf ,resulting in the wonderful Cabbage veins from the leaf, with a hand painted finish . Much can be researched on Dodie and her low key Artistic life. No flaws to report , no issues , no repairs, original Devonshire paper label still retained plus the Pineapple Impressed mark ,~~it is near new or mint . It measures approx. 6 1/4 inches in diameter.
