YOU ARE BIDDING ON A MORGAN DENNIS PEN & INK OF A DOG CHEWING HIS LEASH. ORIGINAL WORK DONE ON HEAVY ART PAPER. SIGNED "MORGAN DENNIS" IN LOWER RIGHT CORNER. ART PAPER IS 8 1/2" TALL X 6 1/2" WIDE. ACTUAL ART IS 5" TALL X 3 1/2" WIDE. BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION COURTESY OF - Known primarily for his dog subjects, Dennis Morgan did the Scotties for the Black & White Whiskey ads. He was born in Boston and lived on Long Island, New York, and in Key West, Florida w he lived on a houseboat, "The Sea Dog". One of his murals, "The Dog House", is in the bar and lounge of the Sheraton Russell Hotel in New York. He was also an author and illustrator, and his publications include: "Pup Himself", 1943; "Burlap", 1945; and "Morgan Dennis Dog Book". He lectured on the art of etching and on dogs.
