Dachshund & Terrier Getting Into Trouble 1880s Antique Print Large Double Folio Size You are bidding on an extra-large original antique print from an 1880s newspaper. It shows the cutest Dachshund on a chair, playing tug-o-war with an evening gown with his white terrier friend. The dress was on a mannequin dress form. A suit of armor is in the background. Bad dogs! Cute dogs! It is entitled" "A disarrangement in Blue" from a picture by Percy Macquoid that was displayed in the Dudley Gallery. The page measures approximately 21.75 x 15.5 inches (55 x 39cm). It has one vertical fold through the middle, where it was bound into the original journal over 100 years ago. The fold lines are clean without any darkening. The print was tipped into the binding, so the fold does not have holes. There is unrelated text on the back of these pages, but it does not show through the rich paper. The page is in excellent condition for its age EXCEPT for a light/soft fold that goes horizontally across the picture. Barely noticeable. Back then, the paper was high quality and the print and illustrations are crisp. Based on the date, it is probably the rotogravure printing technique. This is NOT a recent copy or modern reproduction, but a GENUINE antique item. All prints are delivered in an archival sleeve and rolled in a sturdy tube. I stand behind my read more
