First I will say that I am not an expert in Antique telescopes & that most of my information has come from an article in the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London web site who have a similar one there. I believe this to be a Dollond London Pocket Telescope dating to around c1800, it has a wooden (Possibly Mahogany) case & three brass draws. Each draw is firm but slides nicely, the end draw has 'Dollond London' inscribed on the barrel, the viewing lens has a brass cover that slides open & closed. The Condition is very good, lenses are clean & the viewed objects are clear, there are 1 or 2 very small dings in the brass draws, a very small pin nick in the object lens that is very hard to see, age wear on the wooden case & the holding tacks have been removed & need replacing on the brass part on the object lens. Measures Length closed = 235mm, Length fully open = 720mm I have tried to give an accurate discription of this item but if I have missed somthing out or you would like to see a photo of a bit that I have not shown, then just ask & I will do my best to provide it to you, also any further info you might need please do ask & I will do my best to answer. Payment required within five days of auction end, thankyou.Prompt Payment Ensures Prompt DispatchAll UK Purchased Items, Listed as 1st or 2nd Class Delivery, Achieving A read more
