I have here for sale a RARE book entitled The history and Adventures of the renowned Don Quixote translated from the Spanish of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra to which is prefixed some account of the author's life by Dr Smollett. In five volumes - this is Volume I. Embellished with superb engravings. Published by Henshall in DublinVery good condition for a very old book! No date shown but the introduction by Smollett is dated 1755 - not sure if this is a first edition or if it was periodically published in differing formats over the years following 1755. Fully bound in brown leather which is ripped and peeling on the rear, but OK on the front and spine. Life of Cervantes - 25 pages Preface - 8 pages 194 pages - five plates Postage is Surface Mail outside of UK unless you request Air Mail.
