You are bidding on The Doors 'Strange Days' Elektra Gold LP Record Sales Award Plaque - presented to Jim Morrison. (17 1/2"x21 1/2")'Strange Days' was #3 in the US in 1967 and went Gold in the first few months of '68. Strange Days is The Doors 2nd album and is their most psychedelic. This award, as shown, was presented to 'Jim Morrison' but could have been made for his family as it's 1970 style framing suggests. Having dealt with many rare collectibles and awards (The Doors in particular) this is the rarest and oldest one I've come across. The record is framed with off white matting and a wooden frame and is in excellent condition, especially considering it's age. This is a extremely rare piece and would make an amazing addition to any Doors collectors collection. Accepting reasonable offers.
