is an unusual opportunity to own an original piece of OZ Art! The Wizard of Oz Teapot prototype inspired by the classic movie; "The Wizard of OZ" Sculptural Maquette and tooling prototype Commissioned by the Warner Bros Studio store *very rare and unusual* This item was produced in ceramic and sold in the WB Studio Stores before the stores were all closed OK, it was not for Hallmark but I figure I am offering to the same crowd. I am a freelance toy designer and sculptor. My crew and I have been sculpting action figures and other toys for more than 25 years. We sculpted for Toy Companies and for Fast Food companies like McDonald's and Burger King. We also took work from The Disney and Warner Bros Studio Stores. They would hand us a drawing and say ', sculpt this, we need it by Friday.' Some projects were easier than others - this one was a real challenge as you might imagine. it required four likeness' and also had to be producible in ceramic to be a functioning teapot....and Toto too. I offer the OZ Teapot -cast in solid urethane. Unpainted and ready for your display. The spout was designed to be Scarecrow's arm with the water added into the Tin Man's neck. The Tin Man's head being the removeable lid..... 8" long,4" deep and 5" tall. The King of Diamonds is shown to give you an idea of overall size. To be clear - I am offering a prototype. It is solid and will not work as a teapot . This is a one of a kind turn over prototype. This is an extra casting made as a porfolio piece and now offered for sale to the serious collector of unique Oz items.
