For sale is a wonderful candy dish from the designs of Dorothy C. Thorpe. I was pleasantly and very surprised to see the information on the bottom of the piece. I thought it was a nice raised gold pattern with a pebbled bottom and a gold ball base. As the picture indicates, this is part of her Santa Barbara pattern, Pat. 472, Crown Lynn Potteries of New Zealand. Mrs. Thrope has many designs with Crown Lynn Potteries, mostly on dinnerwear. This dish has wear around the very bottom of the ball base, and a small spot at the bottom of the bowl. The glass is in excellent condition. It is 3 1/2 inches in height, and a diameter at the top rim of 7 inches. The base is approximately 2 by 2 1/2 inches. Please e-mail questions prior to bidding. Thanks for looking at the unique piece from a talented and gifted designer.
