It was a great hotel with history . around the turn of the Century . in New York .The location was of great importance for the Museum of Modern Arts because The museum had to enlarge the premises and t fore bought The Dorset Hotel next door along with two other brown stones and so consequently The Dorset Hotel was demolished and made room for the world of art . The Creamer is truly outstanding, with fine detail and is in excellent condition . On each side if the creamer t is some extra detail , centered by a very handsome logo and is marked "The Dorset "on the bottom as well . It was made by Gorham solid silvered 0411, 2 oz. T is a date mark on the bottom , which is the ship meaning 1926. This is the weight of a Hotel ,Shipping and Restaurant quality would be . used along with wonderful China setting .
