About this Item: This is a truly beautiful, rare, authentic antique Japanese fishing float. It has the r are Double F character seal (where two F's face away from each other). This symbol is the word "kita" which means "North". The symbol was used by the Hokuyo Glass Company of Aomori Japan. Item details: I love that this one has literally thousands of tiny bubbles, there are also several medium and one large bubble that is over 1 inch, as well as swirls in the glass. This was most certainly hand blown. The imperfections make it beautiful and unique. This is the first time that I have offered it for sale. I hope that the new owner enjoys it as much as I have! The color leans more to green than to blue.The float measures 33.5 inches around the widest area. There are a few light scratches in the glass, and the seal with the symbol has a couple rough spots on the edge that I believe have been there since it was made (you can feel them but they just look like bubbles).
