Doulton Burslem biscuit barrel cca 1890-1900. Handpainted porcelain biscuit barrel with silverplated handle, rim, and lid. Markings: Painted mark (stamp) Doulton Burslem beneath a crown, and England. Condition: Silverplating diminished on handle, rim and lid; gilding on decoration has partly rubbed off; some minor scratches on the painted surface of the barrel, giving the appearance of white spots; porcelain inside the barrel has been stained having partly a white and partly a yellow appearance.
