Outstanding Doulton Lambeth Carrara Ware Ewer - Eliza Simmance And Francis Pope - c.1887 An exceptional Doulton Lambeth Carrara Ware Ewer by Eliza Simmance and Francis Pope. The handle of the ewer is in the form of a bird with the handle forming an elongated neck, at the base of the handle is a grotesque bearded face. To the base is the Impressed Lambeth Rosette mark along with the printed Carrara Ware mark, the incised marks for Eliza Simmance and Francis Pope are also present. A superb piece and a wonderful addition to any serious Lambeth collection. Date C.1887 Dimensions 28cm High, Diameter 8.5cm at foot rim, approx 56cm Circumference at widest point, unpacked weight 1.3Kg.
