Here is a rare and very special collection. The full 8 Volume set of Dr. Adam Clarke's Commentary on the Bible was that was printed for J. Butterworth and Son of London from 1810 - 1826. The single volume pictured herein (Volume 2 - The Acts of the Apostles, The Epistles to the Romans, and Corinthians, I and II) represents the highest quality of the volumes which make up this collection. As can be seen, the books measure approximately 8" X 12", are bound in brown le ather with gold printing, and the pages are crisp, in tact, clear, and still maintain all the maps and extras in their entirety. HOWEVER, please take notice of the following; of the 8 volumes in this collection, including volume 2, only 4 are of similar quality. 1 of the remaining four is in "fair" condition, and the final 3 are in poor condition. NOW, when I say "poor" I am declaring that the front covers are partially or completely detached from the books themselves, but, the bindings remain strong and the pages are in tact, full, clear, unmarked, and still contain any/all extras. The detached clovers ARE included in the collection, and thus will be provided, however they would require professional repair to be reattached. All that being said, this collection remains rare, complete, clean, and in it's entirety - awe inspiring. For a collector, a bible scholar, a museum, read more
