IS A SPECIAL OFFERING from Dr. Charles Muses estate that you don't want to miss while it last. It was collected by Dr. Muses on a trip to India in the 60's in the area of Orissa. Charles was prone to going to temples, religious ceremonies, markets and antique shops looking for metaphysical things related to out of body meditation, time travel and religious practices from all cultures. This primitive village folk art PEACOCK STATUE was part of his personal collection and its an extremely powerful object that you can learn more about as you read on.ORISSA INDIA - Orissa has a history spanning a period of over 3,000 years. Orissa has also been the home of the Kalinga and Utkal that played a particularly prominent role in the region's history, and one of the earliest references to the ancient Kalingas appears in the writings of Vedic chroniclers. In the 6th century BCE, Vedic Sutrakara Baudhayana mentions Kalinga as being beyond the Vedic fold, indicating that Brahminical influences had not yet touched the land. Orissa has several popular tourist destinations. Puri, with the Jagannatha's temple near the sea, and Konark, with the Sun Temple, are visited by thousands of tourists every year.
