It is the signature piece of the Secret Art Collection, released in 1999 and sold out at the publisher. This work was adapted posthumously from the 1970 original acrylic on canvas board. Joseph Katz is Dr. Seuss's imagining of the famed bible story. Joseph was the beloved 11th son of Jacob, who gifted him a multicolored coat, turning his brothers envy into hatred. They sold Joseph to traders who took him to Egypt, where he would eventually predict, prepare for and then lead his people, including his brothers, through seven years of famine.This serigraph is the signature piece of the Secret Art collection and was used as the cover of the book The Secret Art of Dr. Seuss. It is painted on archival canvas and stretched and mounted to a frame, measures 44" x 22" and comes with it's original certificate of authenticity. This one is in beautiful condition overall with very bright colors and looks excellent on a wall, but it does have some subtle imperfections that are noticeable when viewing horizontal at an angle the light that are insignificant but need to be mentioned.
