Just a really nice pontil medicine. This mid-nineteenth century bottle is embossed: Dr. SS FITCH 714 BROADWAY, N.Y. It is in great condition, though it does have a very small flashing or fisheye spot on the side/bottom (no glass missing)-looks as though it could be from manufacturing. Also has a very tiny fleabite on the outter edge of lip. I mention these for honesty's sake. I am a very tough grader of bottles yet I believe these two spots are fairly insignificant to the overall beauty and collectability of this bottle in particular. This example is one of three different SS Fitch bottles that were found in the eaves of an old New England home. This one is the only "Fitch" of the three that actually spells out "Broadway" in stead of saying "B. Way." Also, the other two are at 707 not 714.If you have any questions, please ask. This bottle (I think) has a low, reasonable reserve. Thanks for looking! 2 PICTURES HAVE BEEN ADDED FOR THE PURPOSE OF SHOWING THE FISH-EYE SPOT. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. THANKS FOR LOOKING!
