8x10 inch Glossy B&W StillFrom the 1964 Comedy/Thriller movie Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb Glossy B&W still of Stanley Kubrick and cast including Slim Pickens's on the set of Dr. Strangelove. Shot during the filming of the 1964 classic. Not an original. Actual 8x10 photo looks better than the low resolution scan. Considered one of the greatest comedy thriller films of all time Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. The photo has very minor handling/surface/edge wear. I will insure that this still is handled with care. It has been kept in a smoke free environment. This item will be mailed in an aircell or padded envelope with a cardboard stiffener. Plot Outline An insane general starts a process to nuclear holocaust that a war room of politicians and generals frantically try to stop. Plot Synopsis: U.S. Air Force General Jack Ripper goes completely and utterly mad, and sends his bomber wing to destroy the U.S.S.R. He suspects that the communists are conspiring to pollute the "precious bodily fluids" of the American people. The U.S. president meets with his advisors, w the Soviet ambassador tells him that if the U.S.S.R. is hit by nuclear weapons, it will trigger a "Doomsday Machine" which will destroy all plant and animal life on Earth. Peter Sellers portrays the three men who might avert this tragedy: British Group Captain Lionel Mandrake, the only person with access to the demented Gen. Ripper; U.S. President Merkin Muffley, whose best attempts to divert disaster depend on placating a drunken Soviet Premier and the former Nazi genius Dr. Strangelove, who concludes that "such a device would not be a practical deterrent for reasons which at this moment must be all too obvious". The Soviets counter the threat with a so- called "Doomsday Device," and the world hangs in the balance while the U.S. president (Peter Sellers) engages in hilarious hot-line negotiations with his Soviet counterpart. Sellers also plays a British military attaché and the mad bomb-maker Dr. Strangelove; George C. Scott is outrageously frantic as General Buck Turgidson, whose presidential advice consists mainly of panic and statistics about "acceptable losses." With dialogue ("You can't fight !
