A small group of original manuscript notes kept on sheets of assorted previously used scrap papers by Doctor Thomas Huntington [1745-1835] of Canaan, Connecticut, circa 1825. Eight pages, 8" x 10 1/2", folds, some tears and small missing pieces, overall very good condition. These sheets comprise rough notes kept by Dr. Huntington while researching water mills in the area of Canaan, including technical notes and measurements. He was obviously planning a possible water powered mill in the community, but further research is needed. Thomas Huntington was a local physician, farmer, land speculator and businessman. These historically significant notes were written at the very beginning of the Industrial Revolution in New England...Guaranteed original.....$4.00 shipping.
