"THE DRAGON CRANE" A ONE-OF-A-KIND ORIGINAL SCULPTURE BY THE SHIFLETT BROTHERS "With Frank operating the enormous beast, Old man Johnson conducts an agility test to gauge the delicate grip of the crane's jaws." - New Jersey, March, 1892 Straight out of The Shiflett Brothers' studio comes "THE DRAGON CRANE," a one-of-a-kind original sculpture. No molds or castings have ever been made of this piece, so no copies exist...making it a true one-off. The piece stands over 14 inches tall, is 17 inches long, and about 10 inches wide. The sculpture consists of two parts, the crane itself (with driver) and the inventor holding the ring on a wooden stand. The sculpture is composed of epoxy putty, Super Sculpey, aluminum alloy wire, wood, and acrylic paints. The body of the Dragon Crane is made of super strong epoxy putty. The two human characters are Super Sculpey. "The Dragon Crane" has been displayed to great acclaim at Comic-Con International in San Diego, Spectrum Live in Kansas City, and Monsterpalooza: The Art of Monsters in Los Angeles.
