In the centre of the Dragon Filigree coin, ultra-fine silver thread forms the Chinese character representing the word dragon signifying courage and strength. This technique, used in a wide variety of cultures since Ancient times to create objects of beauty, gives a lacey appearance to the Dragon motif.
