1983Dragon’s Lair production Cel signed by Don Bluth Item: Up for auction is the original production cel set-up of what is typically called “The Boulder Trench” or “Marble Room.” This cel was used directly in the production of Dragon's lair - it is not a copy or "seri-cel." Please note the production cel holes, numbers- this is the real deal. Signed by lead animator Don Bluth. Cel Condition: The piece itself is incredible- it would frame nicely. This is a beautiful cel that measures 10.5" x 12.5" with very saturated and vibrant colors and includes a Reproduction Background that is there to bring the foreground cels together to create the scene. All of the artwork are on separate cels. All the paint on Dirk, and the boulder are intact. When the background and foreground are put together, they are beautifully done, this is a stunning piece. Other Information: Hand signed by Don Bluth in marker. Originally purchased from a reputable dealer In Los Angeles (I can provide original receipt), who explained that Bluth sold all of these cels in part to help fund his project "Anastasia."
