This is an outstanding piece from the Unterweissbach factory in the Dresden Meissen area of Germany. Beautifully embossed and embellished in a range of jewel tones, this vignette is then further enhanced by exceptional amounts of gold, and the most treasured of all - porcelain lace. The attention to detail is possibly the finest I have seen in these pieces - even down to the tiniest wreath of flowers which will be the gift for his childhood sweetheart. Since these are still produced today, it is hard to determine exactly when this was produced, but I would assume this to be post World War II. Measuring 6"tall by 4.5" wide, this is an exceptional piece - rare to find at all, much less in perfect condition! Make sure you are the winner for it!
