DRESDEN SCHUMANN COMPOTE which only the word EXQUISITE can describe. In good condition really not alot to find to fault but t is some wear to gilding on the one side of the rim at the top. Done our best to capture in a photograph and to be honesty we did not notice it until we went over in detail. Not a major problem given teh quality of teh piece to us but stated for accuracy of the listing take a close look and you will see towards one corner. These items seem more a work of art than a porcelain piece. Standing approximately 4 1/ 18 " in height and having a base diameter of 3 1 / 2 " square with a bowl mouth opening of approximately 5 1/ 2 " by 5 1/ 2" it is a gem. From the delicate form it has resting on 4 sides of the stem to the stunning detailed gilt design placed on the open bowl sides it is in excellent condition. F ull floral sprays and the carved open sides have been decorated and gilded to the HIGH STANDARDS . An older peice mark provided the best we could get without taking apart.
