No Reserve! You are bidding on an exquisite, Drew & Sons, Piccadilly Circus, London, W. suitcase/travel kit. A truly stunning leather case, silk lined throughout and full of perfectly placed and securely stored personal care accessories and items. Circa 1900, this is an amazing example of the Drew & Sons craftsmanship. Items Included inside case: 8 beautiful glass bottles, each with a sterling silver top Leather personal care kit with scissors, and ivory handled knife, corkscrew, nail file and nail manicure piece/file 2 Ivory brushes Leather case and Ivory Comb Leather bound journal/notebook Ivory handled shoehorn and lace hook Leather cased box of matches Leather jewelry box Leather framed mirror Leather walletThe manner in which these items fit in the case and are perfectly and securely stored is truly amazing. An extreme amount of care went into putting this case together, leaving plenty of room for clothes, etc. in the suitcase. The comb and jewelry case are secured with buttoning leather straps. The journal is secured with thick leather strap and a snap mechanism, in perfect condition. Bottles are secured with sturdy leather straps/pockets, which are securely attached to the body of the suitcase, most with leather bottoms preventing the bottles from touching the bottom of the suitcase. These leather straps/pockets are also upholstered with the green silk. Toothbrush bottle is secured by sliding into a sturdy holder. Leather matchbox holder and matchbox are secured with a leather pocket. Bottles are in mint condition, with no cracks or chips of any kind. Back row of bottles measure, from left to right, 4", 4", 3 1/2" and 4 inches. The tootbrush bottle measures 7 inches. The front row of bottles measure 6", 5" and 6 inches. Each Bottle has a sterling silver top, with maker's mark, sterling silver mark, London, England mark and year mark. The year mark is hard to make out, but we believe it is from the mid to late 1800s. The black leather, silk lined, personal care kit has 5 items (plus an extra nail file, from a much later date, added in). It has a knife, scissors, corkscrew, file and ivory nail care item, with file (in the middle, possibly covered in the photographs). Scissors have the Drew & Sons logo. Knife has the maker's mark of "W. Morton & Sons". Items are made of what we believe to be ivory, and are in beautiful condition. T is a minute chip in the handle of the knife. Item measures 8 1/2 inches, folded out, by 5 inches. Also has the Drew and SOns, :iccadilly Circus, London Logo. Dual locks of the suitcase are fully functional, keys included.MEASUREMENTS: Suitcase measures 12 1/2 x 18 x 7 inches. Two Ivory handled brushes. One is a hair brush, 9 inches long, and the other is a shoe brush, 6 inches long. Leather comb case and comb are 8 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. Leather bound journal/notebook is 9 x 6 3/4. Pages are intact and unused. Leather jewelry box has a velvet interior and measures 5 x 3 x 1 1/2 inches. Leather framed mirror measures 6 3/4 x 4 1/2 inches. Leather, silk lined wallet measures 6 x 4 1/2 inches, unfolded. Leather matchbox holder measures 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. CONDITION: Stunningly mint condition. Case is green silk lined on the inside, and beautiful. This item has been used very minimally. Straps holding the back, once open, have small areas showing use, but are NOT tearing. Minor signs of wear on the exterior, very minor. Beautiful corners and perfect stitching along the edges of the exterior. Sterling silver bottle tops have a few, very small dents. T is very minor separating of the satin liner from the case in the front, left corner. Again, very minor. Please note, we have NOT cleaned or touched up this item in any way, other than a light dusting on the exterior. We will leave the cleaning to the buyer. We believe the handles and items to be ivory. We did the "hot pin" test, very carefully, and they appear to be ivory, and...
