DROOBIE THE DINOSAUR Heads If you are a fan of the Bernie Mac show, then this is a must have. A friend of mine at FOX has asked me to post-up some pieces he's collected over his time of working on the studio lot. This is the 1 st of many he hopes to post, but he wanted to do a trial run and see how the ebay community receives this one. What you are bidding on is a set of professionally made costume heads of a Barney-like dinosaur that was used in a 3 rd season episode of the Bernie Mac show called "Droobie or Not Droobie" (original airdate 2/15/2004). In this episode Bernie takes a film role because it stars Bryana's favorite character, Droobie, a Barney-like dinosaur (played by guest star David Faustino). Bryana, unable to separate fiction and reality, is upset with Bernie because he plays the villain in the film and is mean to her cherished Droobie. She gives Bernie the silent treatment, and his plan to show her that the two are friends goes terribly wrong when Bryana catches him stuffing the Droobie costume into the trunk of a car and thinks he has killed her favorite dinosaur.What you are bidding on are two original Droobie the dinosaur heads that were specially created for that episode. These pieces are incredibly well crafted and look like the same high quality costume head you'd see on a Disney theme park character. They each measure 24 long x 18 wide x 18 high. The material is hard to exactly determine, but it's reminiscent of material used for some stuffed animals, it's very soft and dyed green. Droobie also has soft purple dots/moles, stiff foam teeth and a red meshy mouth to see out of. Both have a purple soft collar on the base of the head, only one head has a purple tie that's attached. The heads themselves are pretty solid in a soft, flexible foamy sort of way. No other body parts come with it, just the heads. But it's a great piece to have for those who love great costumes, perhaps you have a costume rental company, or a kids book store or somehow found a Droobie/dinosaur costume body with no head and this completes your outfit?!?! These custom made heads are NOT cheap to make, especially custom-designed and fabricated with the quality that this one has, easily a few hundred dollars in time, labor and materials combined. The Droobie costume was designed by a Los Angeles design company who design specialty costumes for TV shows, Theme Parks and Major Corporations. NOTE: These Droobies do not have the blue eyes as pictured in the 1 st 2 gallery images; those are images of the head used during the show. Not sure why the blue eyes were removed, but the heads just have the white plastic only.Take a look at a clip from the show w one of the Droobie heads were used.
